Rhode Island Red Chicks and Started Pullets
We offer Rhode Island Red
chicks and started pullets for those who like collecting their own eggs.
Rhode Islands do well here in Florida. They are very hardy and excellent
brown egg layers. Our bloodline averages 270 eggs the first laying
year. While they make a good dual purpose bird, we breed for egg laying
qualities rather than meat.
We participate in the National Poultry Improvement
Program. Our birds are certified Pullorum-Typhoid free.
Day old chicks are available year round. We sell them as a
straight run only (mixed male and female). Call for hatch date and
availability. $2.00each
Started
Pullets are sold at 17 weeks and begin to lay near their 20th
week. Buying started pullets is an excellent way to establish your
laying flock. $14.50
